  • Official Rules

    NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY IN ORDER TO WIN THE MAYO EMPLOYEES FEDERAL CREDIT UNION (“MEFCU”) AMAZON FIRE TABLET BUNDLE DRAWING. EACH ENTRY WILL HAVE AN EQUAL CHANCE OF WINNING. Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union is the sponsor of the Drawing. Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union’s address is 130 23rd Avenue SW, Rochester, MN 55902.

    Drawing Period: October 11, 2024 to December 11, 2024. On or before December 20, 2024, a random drawing will be conducted from all eligible entries received during the Drawing Period.

    Eligibility: To qualify for the Amazon Fire Tablet Bundle Drawing all entrants must be 12 years of age or younger at the time of Drawing, a resident of the United States of America, and a current member, in good standing, of Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union during the drawing period. Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union employees, officials, and members of their immediate families are not eligible to participate in the Amazon Fire Tablet Bundle Drawing. By entering this Drawing, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Drawing Rules and the decisions of MEFCU. Drawing void where restricted or prohibited by law. The Drawing is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

    Drawing Entries: Individuals may also enter the Drawing by legibly hand-printing their name, street address (including City, State, and ZIP code), phone number, and the words “Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union Amazon Fire Tablet Bundle Drawing Entry,” on a 3” x 5” card and mailing it by US Mail to Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union, Attention: Amazon Fire Tablet Bundle Drawing, 130 23rd Avenue SW, Rochester, MN 55902 (one entry per exterior envelope). Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, damaged, postage-due or illegible entries or mail. Proof of mailing does not constitute proof of delivery.

    Prize Giveaway: One Amazon Fire Tablet Bundle (valued at $255.00). Entrants are eligible to win only one of the prizes listed above. Prize winners may be subject to a tax Form 1099. Winner/Prize recipient is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes on the prize. Winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Winner need not be present to win and will be notified by phone, and/or email. No transfers or substitution of prizes permitted except at the sole discretion of Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. All costs and expenses not specified herein are the sole responsibility of the winner.

    Notification of Winner: By December 20, 2024, the potential winner will be notified by phone or email information on file with MEFCU. Forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner may result from any of the following at the Sponsor’s discretion: (1) MEFCU unable to contact member via phone (i.e. incorrect number, voicemail full) or email (i.e. bounce back) (2) failure of a potential Prize Winner to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release, where allowed by law, a Publicity Release and a completed IRS Form W-9 within fourteen (14) days after mailing; (3) failure of a potential Prize Winner to respond to accept the prize within 14 days; (4) the return of any notification or prize as undeliverable or failure to claim prize within 14 days; (5) any other noncompliance with the Official Rules. Winner must claim prize by picking up prize at a MEFCU branch location.

    Publicity Authorization: Winner agrees to permit Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union to utilize his/her name and likeness in promotional and other Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union materials, without additional compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.

    Conditions of Participation: By entering the Drawing, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Entrants agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor from any claims, actions, injury, loss, or damage of any kind, including but not limited to, personal injury or death, resulting, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participating in this Drawing or from the acceptance, possession, or use, misuse, or nonuse of a prize. This limitation is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any kind, including but not limited to, compensatory, direct, indirect, or consequential damages; loss of data; income or profit; loss of damage to property; and claims of third parties. Entrants agree that Sponsor is not responsible nor liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, statutory, express, or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the Drawing. Sponsor makes no warranty with respect to any prize or any part thereof. Sponsor is not responsible for any undeliverable or returned documentation or Prize. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.

    General: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend part or all of this Drawing at any time without out notice, if in Sponsor’s opinion there is any actual or suspected evidence of violations or tampering with any portion of this Drawing or any other impairment to the administration, security, fairness, integrity, lawfulness or proper play of the Drawing. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor may void any entries it suspects are at issue and, at its discretion, if terminated, may award the prize in a random drawing from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to the date of the cancellation. Any attempt by any entrant or any other individual to damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Drawing may be in violation of criminal and/or civil laws and the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies, including attorney fees. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules does not constitute waiver of that or any other provision. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify entrants who violate these Official Rules or interfere with the Drawing in any manner. If an entrant is disqualified, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate that entrant’s eligibility to participate in this and future Drawings. Sponsor reserves the right to modify prize awards and these Official Rules.

    Disputes: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Drawing, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Minnesota. Jurisdiction and venue shall be solely within the State of Minnesota, regardless of the location of the (potential) Prize Winner. As a condition of entering the Drawing, entrants agree that under no circumstances will entrants be permitted to obtain claims, judgments, costs, or awards for, and waive all rights to claim any other damages, punitive, incidental, consequential, or otherwise, other than actual out of pocket expenses. Any claims, judgements and awards are limited to reasonable out of pocket costs only and shall not be entitled to attorney fees or other legal costs. All disputes shall be resolved on an individual basis without any form of class action.
